4:20 shows=minimal updates, sorry. Have flown 4 times now in the actual jet and am having a blast as soon as I wake up. I will write a good description of my day once I get the time. Still alive and kicking though.

-- More Sims --
Well life is pretty good. Have had a bunch more sims and they are really going well. My sim partner and I are really getting the hang of ground ops as well as flying the basic pattern. It is tricky on the ground because there are a lot of different checks that you do that aren't really laid out in the checklist that you need to do from memory. We did them pretty well today, except for me trying to start the wrong engine and my buddy starting the engines without some important switches thrown...Hehe was actually kind of funny the way he did it since I called "EFC's" and he said "ON" but when he said that he turned them off...go figure. The simulator is extremely bad-ass by the way, its pretty much the ultimate video game. Being kind of a flightsim nerd myself I am a pig in...anyway. The visuals are pretty basic looking out the window but the avionics and cockpit itself is completly the same as the actual jet. So we have about a week left of academics before we start our 0400 shows on the flightline. Dollar rides right now are scheduled for the 18th of this month so not that far off. Still have time for a roadtrip to Corpus Christi next weekend and a little more lake time before we get back to business. I am actually much more excited to fly this jet than I was the tweet for some reason...who knows. More next week.

-- Tomorrow after the sim... --
Little late sorry. The sim was pretty awesome. We basically walked through the entire checklist, starting the jet up and taking off for a few straight ins. We got a quick look at the autopilot (we won't be using it until well down the road) and basically got a sense of how the airplane handles, which is poorly!! They have designed the plane to use spoilers instead of ailerons to make turns. Basically in a normal airplane to turn you put a surface into the wind to create more lift on one wing than the other and that creates the turn. With the T-1 though you "spoil" lift to turn, so you put a surface into the wind that spoils the lift on one wing creating the turn. It makes the jet feel a lot bigger than it actually is, and will help us in the future once we get into the next airplane. You really had to crank the yoke over to get the turn started but I'm sure I'll get used to it. More tests done, everyone is getting 100's thanks to our excellent sim instructors...More tests and academics next week with a few sims thrown in.

-- Academics --
We are cruising away in an academics program that is identical to phase 1 in tweets. Has been pretty cake so far although I missed a question on our avionics test. Everyone is passing though so we are doing pretty well as a flight so far. Have my first time in the actual sim tomorrow which should be pretty sweet. There is a lot to memorize as far as checklists and getting the jet off the ground but I am getting there slowly and it will make a lot more sense once we get to see all the lights turn on. I'll post tomorrow after the sim.
